Gift Ideas for Moms

Just to make it a little easier on any of my readers who are struggling to find something for Mom or Grandma this Sunday-- here are some fun ideas.  Girls, if you like them, forward the link to the guys, for a "subtle" hint!

1.  Sony under the counter MP3/CD player.  It's nice to have tunes when you're cleaning or cooking, and with this one, mom can plug her iPod or MP3 player and jam! This Sony model has good sound quality. Bonus- no lost counter space.

2.  Massage or facial at her fave salon.  You'd be surprised how many women never treat themselves. If you don't know what spa she likes, or what service she'd prefer, just get a Spa Finder G.C. it works almost everywhere!


3. Give her a full day off from the kids, or errands on the weekend.  Pick a day that works for everyone and watch the kids for the entire day, (you'll survive, I promise!)  bonus points is the house is cleaner than when she left. Encourage her to spend the day with her friends, or whatever would make her happy.


4. Have her car detailed.  I know, you'd think of this as more of a "guy thing" but most moms never have the time or energy to clean out their cars.  Make sure to get all of the goldfish crackers and sticky candy wrappers out of the backseat. ; )

I hope they get one here in MN soon.  Although I do need to fit into my shorts this summer.  So maybe for now it's best that it is in CA.

Spring

J Crew Sweater

First I want to say sorry it's been awhile- again.  I lost my writing mojo so to speak... But I think it's back!

Spring came early in Minnesota this year.  With record high temps in early March. I thought it was just going to be a couple of warm days but here we are with sunshine and 60 degrees yay!  Spring is my favorite season.  (Even though there are a lot of shockingly pale legs and arms out there.) I so appreciate the eagerness to be outside and get some sun. 

This spring there still seems to be a lot of 70s and 80s throwback fashion.  And it reminds me of Middle School- in a bad way.  BUT- there are some things that are really pretty, and I can't wait to wear.  White House Black Market has some really feminine dresses and tops that I think are great.  Also bold colors and color blocking are my favorites now from J Crew.
